BiographyCoach Straub came back to The Farm after directing the Strength & Conditioning programs for Saint Leo University & the University of South Florida.
Prior to joining the USF athletic department, Straub served as the top assistant Sports Performance coach for football at Stanford and was heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the Sports Performance program.
Preceding his work at Stanford, Straub spent five years on the Strength & Conditioning staff at Pac-12 rival the University of Washington, as well as four years of service at the University of San Diego. During his time at Washington, he worked closely with the softball, baseball and women's volleyball programs. While at the University of San Diego, he worked with a variety of the 16 Torero programs, including baseball, softball, men's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's golf, swimming and diving and men's and women's rowing.
Straub is a 2002 graduate of Towson (Md.) University, where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is currently pursuing his master's degree in exercise science from Texas-El Paso.
